COURSE: Systematic Theology

INSTRUCTOR: Dr. John Duckworth

To give the students an introductory insight into an African American systematic theology and explain why it is important to have a systematic theology from an African American experience. Systematic theology is the attempt to summarize religious truth or the belief system of a religious group through an organized system of thought carried out within a particular cultural and intellectual context, including Bibliology (Scripture), Theology (God), Anthropology (Humanity), Christology (Jesus), Ecclesiology (Church), and Eschatology (End Times) from an African American perspective. It will also address liberation, Blackness, and current social injustices.
