Holidays can be extremely difficult for those suffering from grief, especially during the first year after death. While grief is a personal experience that takes place over time, this seminar is designed to give the bereaved the tools they need to once again enjoy this special time of the year.
Our H.O.P.E. (Healing Our Painful Experiences) symposium will provide information and inspiration to those whose lived has been impacted by the loss of a loved one. Guest panelists include representatives from the City of Detroit Prosecutor’s Office, Detroit Police Homicide Dept., Crime Stoppers, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Angela Hospice & Palliative Care, and Healing Palace Inc.
Our keynote speaker will be St John’s Open Arms Director, Reverend Karen Sheffield.
